New Affordable Home Purchase Program
The Lower Merion Affordable Housing Corporation (LMAH), in cooperation with Lower Merion Township, has an affordable first-time homebuyers' program. Applications will be accepted starting Friday, September 10, 2010 for one of the renovated homes. Applications are available on the Lower Merion Township website.
Special preference will be given to people who currenly live or work in Lower Merion and active Lower Merion firefighters.
Homebuyers must meet eligibility requirements including income restrictions, good credit and savings for the down-payment. Household income restrictions are based on US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) income limits adjusted for houshold size. (For example, a household with two members would have a maximum income of $50,150. For a household of three, the maximum income is $56,400.) Homebuyers must comply with program requirements and agree to resale restrictions.
